Cambridge Research & Technology Transfer Ltd (CRTT Ltd) was founded in 1989.

It specialises in luminescence (chemiluminescence and bioluminescence) technologies.

CRTT Ltd maintains a large database of commercial and scientific information on all aspects of bioluminescence and chemiluminescence.

Philip E Stanley PhD (Founder and Director of CRTT Ltd):

Has more than 30 years' experience in bioluminescence ranging from:

Basic science (landmark publication in quantification using bioluminescence) to
Applications in clinical laboratories to
Industrial R&D.

From 1985-1999 he was European Editor of Luminescence (formerly Journal of Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence) published by John Wiley & Sons. Currently is a member of the Editorial Board.

Presently (1998- ) Secretary of the International Society for Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence.

He has prepared and published in the Journal of Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence, several surveys concerning:

Commercially available luminometers
Low-level light imaging devices
Kits and reagents using bioluminescence / chemiluminescence technologies.

He is the author of more than 100 scientific publications.
The Editor of seven symposium volumes concerned with: bioluminescence and chemiluminescence.
The Editor of two specialist volumes on ATP rapid microbiology.
He has been commissioned by John Wiley & Sons, to edit a comprehensive encyclopaedia about all aspects of bioluminescence and chemiluminescence.
