From 1985-1999 he was European Editor of Luminescence (formerly Journal of Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence) published by John Wiley & Sons. Currently is a member of the Editorial Board.

He has prepared and published in the Journal of Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence, several surveys concerning:

He is the author of more than 100 scientific publications.
The Editor of seven symposium volumes concerned with: bioluminescence and chemiluminescence.
The Editor of two specialist volumes on ATP rapid microbiology.
He has been commissioned by John Wiley & Sons, to edit a comprehensive encyclopaedia about all aspects of bioluminescence and chemiluminescence.
